Unified Active Directory, Exchange, and Lync Administration

EmpowerID provides a unified RBAC security model, user interface, and hundreds of workflows, covering delegated administration and self-service of Microsoft Active Directory Users and Groups, Exchange mailboxes, and Lync/OCS users without requiring delegation of native permissions.

Prior to Exchange 2007 and Lync 2010, administrators could manage Active Directory Users, Groups, Exchange mailboxes, and Lync users from a single interface — the Active Directory Users and Computers console. With the advent of Exchange 2007 and Lync 2010, however, administrators were forced to use different tools with different security models to accomplish the same tasks.

EmpowerID restores that capability, providing the much needed reunification of Active Directory, Exchange, and OCS/Lync management into a single console with a single robust Role-Based Access Control security model that eliminates complex permission management in these systems.
